I burned my Pop-tarts and now it smells awful (especially my microwave). How should I remove the smell?

Well, my little brother went to heat it on High Level and left it for a minute. And now everything is smokey and smelly. It feels nauseating and awful. We`ve let fresh air in for the hour, opened all windows, put air freshener on and other stuff. The smell`s quite faint but that`s not the problem anymore. We`ve tried soaping our microwave and let some fresh air in it too, but it still smells strong and odorous. How should we remove the smell from my microwave?
