If my mom gets the iPhone can me and her switch sim cards?

my mom and i both have at&t. i have the blackjack II (i just got it in december which renewed my contract another two years, which is why i have to wait to get another phone). my mom is due for an upgrade. if she gets the iphone can me and her switch sim cards so i can use her iphone and she can use my blackjack?
