How dumb do you have be to support a political system that has failed horribly every time it has been tried?

I guess you have to be about as dumb as me. I don't think history has taught us much about communism yet but it has taught us a thing or two about petty tyrants just like all our anecdotal experience with capitalism teaches us lessons about petty tyrants. No matter how many times humans disappoint me, I keep appreciating our cooperative nature and keep believing we will inevitably advance in sophistication. Maybe I'm just not intelligent enough to learn that when something we want doesn't happen easily with minimal effort the first try, it's always best to just give up and never try again... I guess I'm kind of dumb that way.
