Did Taekwondo influence Kickboxing in any way like Karate and Boxing did?

Taekwondo was a major contributor to Full Contact Karate, aka, 'Western Kickboxing' which became popular in the 1970s. Some big stars of Kickboxing at that time were Benny Urquidez, Chuck Norris, Bill 'Superfoot' Wallace, and Joe Lewis. Taekwondo features high kicks that are common to most Korean styles, and of course those kicks were an et in kickboxing.
