If human intellect is God-given, why should questioning God's existence be off-bounds?

But God made man in his own image. And God is as thick as a plank - he doesn't know the value of Pi, how many legs an insect has, that the bat is a mammal, which animals are ruminants, or that the earth is round. So obviously human intelligence and the scepticism that comes from it is a mistake!
